SKULLIES are exact replicas of real animal skulls – in miniature.
How we make them
1. Scanning
Every original skull is acquired from ethical and sustainable sources, and then carefully captured with cutting-edge laser scanning technology.
2. 3D Rendering
The images are then scaled down and saved using 3D rendering software to produce the desired size. Unique characteristics are preserved and any necessary edits are made.
3. 3D Printing
Then the magic happens. We use 3D printers to produce a highly detailed exact reproduction of the original skull. SKULLIES are printed at roughly a 1/6 scale, although there is some variation from species to species.
4. Washing
Once the SKULLIES have been printed, they go through a washing process to remove any residue and to cure the product.
5. Painting
The details of each mini skull are really captured during the painting process. SKULLIES are each hand-painted using visual reference by our team of local South African artists, making each SKULLIE a true original.
6. Packaging
The final product is a remarkable mini skull, with exceptional accuracy. SKULLIES are carefully packaged in our branded packaging and can be shipped worldwide.

I can’t say enough about the skullies I ordered. After seeing some examples of the animal replicas I decided to place an order for both my son and I. The detail in manufacturing is evident and the customer service is even better. We had a small issue with one of the items that was shipped and the folks at skullies took care of it the next day. If your looking for unique replicas I would recommend you contact these folks, you won’t be disappointed.
